Solomon 6th grader, Keith Cable, has been chosen to be a student ambassador as part of the People to People International program. The program accepted only 40 of the 3,000 applicants. Keith will travel to the western United States to places like, Yosemite National Park, the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, and the Sierra Nevada for 14 days this summer. Congratulations Keith!

BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION

It’s time once again to turn in all the TOPS you’ve been saving for the quarterly contest. TOPS are due to your child’s classroom by January 18th, the end of the second quarter. Last quarter the 1st graders submitted the most TOPS and had a Cheerios breakfast treat with Mrs. Schiets and Mrs. Winters. What will the next class earn??? Solomon received a check from General Mills for $702.20 from the latest submittal. WOW! That’s a lot of TOPS! Great job to all that continue to clip and save Box Tops for Solomon. Why not ask friends and relatives to save TOPS for Solomon too? It all helps. For more information on Box Tops for Education go to www.boxtops4education.com.
